It's wildflower season, which is why we want to show you some of our favorite flowers found in Colorado! Starting with our state flower, the Colorado Columbine! ⠀
⠀
The Columbine can be found growing in shaded, subalpine forests and rocky mountain sites. The petals are drawn out into long spurs, which contain nectar, attracting butterflies and bees. Colorado columbine begins blooming in June at lower elevations through August in alpine areas. Have you spotted any this season?
