Our last finalist highlight are the incredible women who helped found one of the most important Associations for women’s golf. The @lpga_tour was founded in 1950 by a group of thirteen women who were determined to create a professional golf tour for women. Helen Hicks, Opal Hill, Shirley Spork, Sally Sessions, Alice Bauer, Bettye Danoff, and Helen Dettweiler have made such an impact on the sport. These pioneering women broke down barriers and paved the way for future generations of female golfers.
