It comes with sadness that we share the news of the passing of the Class of 2002 Inductee, Marlene Bauer Hagge.
The World Golf Hall of Fame is proud to honor and celebrate the contributions and tenacity of the 13 women who launched the Ladies Professional Golf Association in 1950. These women were leaders and role models, both on and off the course. Today, we mourn the passing of Marlene Hagge-Vossler, the last surviving founder of the LPGA. Extremely talented, fiercely competitive, smart, and popular, Marlene represented all that was best about the founding members of the LPGA.
In 2024, the World Golf Hall of Fame will celebrate all 13 of these extraordinary women in an unprecedented induction ceremony. In so doing, we recognize, celebrate, and express our profound gratitude for all that these women contributed to our game.
