Rutgers students are building bridges – literally and figuratively!🌍 This summer, three students from Rutgers-New Brunswick’s Engineers in Action chapter traveled to the African nation of Eswatini to construct something life-changing: the Tintfutfwini footbridge. Working alongside EIA teams from across the country and local residents, our students helped build a safe path forward for 2,500 people. The newly constructed 302-foot bridge spans the hippo and crocodile-filled waters of the Nkomanzi River, providing year-round, safe access to schools, healthcare facilities, and markets.
