For this week’s story of #HowWeMetAtRU, we have Carla Mells, Sandra Barrera, Saskia Cipriani, Lauren Surick, Angy Bayon, Alexandra Zorilla, Leona Wilson, Chailyn Morales Frances, and Tapia Mateo ✨ “We all met during our third year at Rutgers University. We were drawn to a Latina sorority named Lambda Theta Alpha - Epsilon Chapter. They (LTA) were hosting a social one fall evening at the @ruclac, and it was there that our bond was sealed. We all became interested members around the summer of 2001 and embarked on a year of service and activities required by the organization. We connected right away and took advantage of a great summer together! Most of us are first-generation college students and were actively involved in all things Rutgers. @leonaemm worked as a community service officer, @saskiae3 worked at the Center for Latino Arts and Culture for their annual summer program, and when September 2001 dawned on us, we went to every single off-campus party (college ave campus) as par...
