Rutgers Scarlet Service is a three-credit paid internship program that allows interns to build meaningful relationships and become better citizens while making our world a better place. 🌎
But what is it really like to live day in and day out as a
#ScarletService intern? Hear from
@rutgersartsandsciences student Sarah Samdani (
@sarah.samdani) on her experience working for the Council on American-Islamic Relations Legal Defense Fund (
@cair_national) in Washington, DC. 🏛️
“I have learned so much about how civil rights cases are processed, from employment discrimination cases to cases involving incarceree rights. I got to interview potential clients one-on-one and help the attorneys get a better understanding on different civil rights complaints. I really appreciate the amount of responsibility that I was given as an intern since it helped me realize I want to pursue civil rights law professionally.” 👩⚖️
