On a recent Saturday morning, community members across @runewark dedicated their time to giving back to the city they call home during Community Engagement Day. More than 200 volunteers worked at 13 sites throughout the City of Newark. Hosted during both the fall and spring semesters by the Office of Student Life and Leadership at Rutgers-Newark, volunteers complete projects at local parks, gardens, and schools and support groups that address food insecurity, homelessness, AIDS and HIV awareness, and more. #RutgersImpact #ScarletService
