NASCAR Digital Media is seeking an experienced Managing Editor for NASCAR.com to serve as a senior editorial leader guiding written content strategy, cross-functional collaboration, and editorial execution across NASCAR Digital Media’s flagship platform and digital properties. This role oversees race coverage, news, features and site programming, ensuring NASCAR.com delivers timely, authoritative and engaging storytelling aligned with the NASCAR brand and audience growth objectives.

Working closely with the Editor in Chief, the Managing Editor helps shape editorial priorities, drive operational excellence, and support the evolution of NASCAR’s digital content strategy.

Duties include but are not limited to:

* Lead editorial planning and content execution across NASCAR.com and other digital properties, including race coverage, news, features, analysis and long-form storytelling.
* Help establish and execute editorial strategies and innovative content initiatives supporting audience growth, fan engagement, and evolving digital experiences.
* Provide leadership, mentorship and direction across assigned editorial teams to ensure consistency in voice, standards, workflows and strategic priorities.
* Elevate the quality of written content through editing, coaching and ongoing evaluation of coverage, presentation and storytelling opportunities.
* Partner with the Editor in Chief, analytics and cross-functional teams to identify trends, measure performance and implement editorial improvements.
* Collaborate with marketing, social, video, product and platform teams to deliver cohesive cross-platform storytelling and content alignment.
* Identify opportunities to innovate editorial workflows, storytelling formats and content presentation across NASCAR.com and emerging digital platforms.
* Support workflow optimization and the continued development of editorial processes and team operations.
* Ensure content adheres to brand voice, accuracy and editorial integrity.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, industry partners and external contributors.



Required skills / experience:

* Bachelor’s degree plus 8+ years of digital and/or editorial production experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Deep understanding of sports content, audience engagement and digital publishing best practices.
* Strong editorial instincts with the ability to identify compelling stories, emerging trends and audience opportunities.
* Experience leading editorial teams and managing high-level content operations in a fast-paced digital environment.
* Ability to balance creative vision and innovation with data-informed strategy, and strong operational execution.
* Experience working with mobile and emerging digital platforms.
* Willingness to work weekends and travel approximately 10-15% as part of event coverage responsibilities.

The Manager, O’Reilly Auto Parts & Craftsman Truck Series Social Media shapes the voice, content strategy, and programming cadence for the O’Reilly Auto Parts & Craftsman Truck Series social media platforms, ensuring NASCAR’s partner and series storytelling connects with fans while driving engagement and growth.  This role requires hands-on content execution with strategic planning, working in close partnership internal teams to bring each platform to life across the NASCAR social ecosystem.

**Duties include but are not limited to:**&#x20;

Platform Ownership & Strategy

* Lead day-to-day programming for O’Reilly Auto Parts and Craftsman Truck Series social channels, including X, Facebook and the launch of Instagram channels for both series.
* Develop and execute distinct content strategies that reflect each series while still aligning to NASCAR’s broader social and marketing goals.
* Create and maintain an always-on content calendar that captures the energy of race weekends, partner campaigns, and key tentpole moments.
* Serve as the platform expert, monitoring trends, testing new formats, and refining tactics that drive fan engagement and follower growth.

Creative Development & Execution

* Collaborate with Creative Design, Production, Editorial & Brand Social to concept, script, and publish content that delivers both brand storytelling and real-time racing coverage.
* Partner with NASCAR’s Brand Content and At-Track Production teams to plan and capture original content that fuels each series storytelling throughout the season.
* Write and edit copy for all posts, ensuring tone, accuracy, and cultural relevance across platforms.

Partnership Integration

* Work cross-functionally with O’Reilly Auto Parts, Craftsman, and Partnership Marketing so each series’ presence helps meet partner objectives while still laddering up to the NASCAR brand.
* Manage social deliverables for partner campaigns and collaborate on content that authentically integrates their brands into the NASCAR conversation.

Analytics & Optimization

* Use social analytics and reporting tools to evaluate performance, share insights, and evolve content strategy.
* Identify high-performing content themes and social moments that can be scaled across NASCAR’s channels.

Weekend & Event Coverage

* Lead on-site and remote coverage for Truck Series events and key O’Reilly activations.
* Ensure NASCAR’s social storytelling captures the emotion, personalities, and competition of the series week to week.
* Travel: 35%, including weekends

* Directly supervises assigned staff.

**Job Summary:**

As a Social Content Producer at NASCAR, you’ll help push the brand forward by creating bold, social-first content that actually shows up in people’s feeds. You’ll concept, shoot, and edit short-form video for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, X, and Facebook, across both @NASCAR and our track channels, bringing the sport, its drivers, and the energy around it to life.



This role is perfect for a visual storyteller with strong creative instincts and a real pulse on the internet and what breaksthrough. We’re looking for someone who is curious, proactive, and comfortable testing ideas in real time. The Social Content Producer plays a key role in evolving how NASCAR shows up on social, keeping the work fun, pushing creative boundaries, while showcasing the sport.



**Key Responsibilities:**

·      Develop, produce, and edit social-first content that highlights driver personalities, taps into NASCAR’s history and fandom, delivers the on-track product in a fresh way, and gives fans access (approximately 65% of the role).

·      Support at-track and event coverage by collaborating with the Sr. Manager and social team on race-weekend shot lists, traveling to events, and producing content on site that delivers against the creative vision (approximately 35% of the role).

·      Contribute to creative strategy and ideation, helping shape new social ideas that grow the audience and move the NASCAR brand forward.

·      Proactively pitch, storyboard, and concept original social-first content for NASCAR and track social channels.

·      Contribute to paid social video efforts as needed, taking what we learn on organic social and using it across marketing efforts.

·      Manage projects end-to-end, from concept through execution, ensuring work meets quality and timeline expectations.

·      Collaborate closely with teams across social, marketing, creative design, digital, editorial, and broadcast.

·      Stay current on platform trends, formats, and tools, bringing fresh thinking into the work.

·      Use performance data and analytics to help evaluate content and inform future creative decisions.

 

**Required Qualifications:**

·      Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a minimum of two (2) years related experience, internship, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·      2 to 5 years of professional experience in video production, preferably with a focus on social media or digital content.

·      Proficient shooting high-quality video on lightweight camera setups in fast-moving environments

·      Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar.

·      Strong understanding of the best practices for social-first content on Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X.

·      Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and creative team environment.

·      Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

·      Demonstrate strong creative judgment, with a keen understanding of why certain formats and moments work on specific platforms

·      Thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, demonstrating flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and tight timelines.

 

**Preferred Qualifications:**

·      Experience with motion graphics and visual effects using Adobe After Effects.
