**Job Summary**

Fanatics Betting & Gaming looking for a Senior Manager, Social Media Content to scale Fanatics Sportsbook’s social presence into a category-defining destination. You’ll be goaled on how you accelerate momentum across the brand’s social channel ecosystem, driving reach, engagement, and followers through a steady cadence of social content and activation that demands attention and engagement.

This role requires a true leader and a doer, who sets a high bar for compelling brand storytelling, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves to create, edit and publish content with speed and precision. The ideal candidate is highly skilled at running social newsrooms and can act fast to turn a trend into a compelling brand moment. They know how to measure what matters, use systems to track performance, learn fast, and continuously optimize for impact.

And most of all, we’re looking for someone who lives and breathes sports and culture, who possesses a sharp editorial POV and deeply understands daily sports narratives and how our community thinks, talks, and shares.

**Candidates with agency experience and a proven track record of working across multiple brands are strongly preferred.** This role will report into the Director, Social Media and is Hybrid out of our NYC office.

**What You’ll Do**

* Own what goes out on Fanatics Sportsbook social media channels, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, Reddit, Discord, and YouTube.
* Maintain a content calendar across all channels, providing consistent communication and visibility on the publishing plan at daily, weekly, and monthly checkpoints.
* Proactively plan, produce and execute content that entertains and generates strong organic reach.
* Partner closely with internal and external Social Creative Team to improve our content and test bold ideas, balancing creative insight and brand tone with quantitative analysis
* Partner closely with the Influencer & Talent Team to identify, engage and execute highly engaging and entertaining concepts with a range of talent spanning niche creators to campaign-headlining celebrities and athletes.
* Represent and secure what each channel needs to be successful in national and local campaigns, mentoring other functional teams on what works on social.
* Ensure content meets legal and regulatory compliance requirements through direct partnership with internal teams.
* Work closely with the Director, Social Media to develop/influence paid media strategies supporting campaigns.

**What You Bring**

* 7+ years experience of demonstrated success driving social strategy and execution for major consumer brands or sports publishers, with a proven track record of growing communities over time.
* Expert knowledge of TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, Discord, Reddit, and YouTube, with an emphasis on the nuances of each platform’s features and the unique needs and behaviors of each platform’s users.
* Strong production acumen. You know how to get things made, with experience partnering with creative teams, both internal and agency, to effectively brief, deliver feedback, and project manage.
* Excellent copywriting skills and attention to detail, with proven experience translating brand visual identity, voice and tonality to social.
* Experience working in social media content and performance management systems, such as Sprinklr.
* Experience successfully collaborating with influencers and creators on behalf of a brand or business. 
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and build relationships.
* Knowledge of paid advertising and business tools available on TikTok, X, Meta, and YouTube.
* Prior experience in sports, with a deep understanding of contemporary American pro sports leagues and gameplay.
* Knowledge of current trends, regulations, and best practices in the betting and gaming sector is a plus.
* Open to regular travel to events and other Fanatics offices for various offsite and team meetings.

**The Role**
We’re looking for a next-gen PR and earned media professional who lives at the intersection of sports culture, media relations, and social distribution. This person knows how content actually travels in 2026. They have relationships with traditional sports media and high-leverage social accounts, community pages and all other internet corners that shape conversation and drive reach.  

This role is responsible for turning brand ideas, moments, and stunts into earned coverage on social feeds and organic amplification channels in addition to traditional media.  

 **What You’ll Do** 

* Identify and shape brand moments, stunts, and ideas into content that is inherently newsworthy and primed for internet traction 
* Own amplification strategy and outreach to ensure content travels beyond owned channels into media, social platforms, and key internet communities 
* Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, social amplification accounts, creators, and community curators who drive sports conversation 
* Get content into the feeds and platforms that matter — from traditional media to high-reach sports pages, Reddit, forums, and emerging channels 
* Spot organic momentum early and capitalize on it with smart, timely follow-up outreach 
* Translate brand initiatives into compelling pitches with clear angles that drive pickup and downstream amplification 
* Time and execute outreach strategically to maximize coverage, reach, and cultural impact 
* Track coverage and amplification across platforms, partnering with analytics teams to measure full-funnel earned impact 
* Continuously refine approach based on what actually earns attention, engagement, and conversation 
* Stay deeply connected to sports culture, media trends, and the evolving internet ecosystem to inform strategy and opportunity 

**What We’re Looking For** 

* 4-5+ years in PR/social with experience delivering earned media off of big ideas within sports, culture and entertainment. 
* Proven track record of placing content that drives impact across mediums, but especially in social 
* Deep understanding of modern earned media, including how it extends beyond traditional press and influencer marketing 
* Strong relationships across: 
* Sports media and digital outlets 
* Social amplification accounts and cultural aggregators 
* Creators, influencers, and independent publishers (e.g., newsletters, Substack writers) 
* Strong instincts for what resonates online and why, with the ability to shape ideas into newsworthy moments 
* Experience operating in fast-paced, reactive environments tied to live sports and cultural moments 
* Excellent writing and storytelling skills for pitches, outreach, and narrative development
